Visiting Santa

(As you have figured out I am making up for missed blogs)

On a Friday before Christmas Janelle and the kids met me after work at Rheault Farm (which is across the street from were I work). This Fargo attraction is actually a farm that a high school friend of mine grew up but now serves as a City of Fargo park. At Christmas time it is decorated and made to look like Santa's place.

We started at the house to visit Santa in his living room. As you can see Santa is in his overalls since the red suit only comes out on Christmas Eve. The kids got to tell Santa there list while he told each of them they made the good list. We then went to the kitchen to see Mrs. Claus and helped here decorate cookies. From there we walked over to a separate building where there were craft projects. From there we went to a big barn that had a large model train set up and running (Jordan loved that, "choo choo"). Then it was over to a smaller barn where a couple of Santa's real reindeer were. They must of been a little stressed out because one actually charged the fence. It is really a neat place and the price is right, free.

Rudolph and Marshmallows

The bank had their annual kid's Christmas party before Christmas where all the children of the bank employees are invited. We take a picture of all the children and put it into the local newspaper the week before Christmas. This year the kids then had pizza and watched Rudolph before the much anticipated, annual, "Marshmallow War". Yes, we bring out the bags of marshmallows and the kids(?) have at it, usually attacking the bank president. Afterwards all the kids received their own stuffed Rudolph and a bag of goodies.

What a bunch of Winers

Janelle and I decided to make our own wine for the holiday season. We started the process in November and my sister Tammy and Curt helped us finish the process by bottling our Zinfandel in December. We started the evening with dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and then off to Vintner's Cellar to bottle our creation. It was a fun evening and the wine turned out OK too!

"The labels must be just...right"

Riddle

Where can you find strawberries and creme, honeydew smoothie, blueberry crisp, cherry icee, vanilla sugar, and refreshing apricots?

Answer: Our shower! Yes, as I looked at the shampoos and shower gels in my shower this morning I realized I bathe in an orchard. No wonder I eat a big breakfast every morning.
